Description

NGC 2158 is the "other" open cluster in Gemini.

It sits slightly south-west of M-35 at the foot of Gemini.

Always has been a favorite of mine. Really pretty when observed.

I imaged it through a scope I have had for a while but really never used it - in the "awkward" focal range of 1340 mm, really too long a focal length for wide field, but too short for deep space. Turns out ideal for this object.
