Description

This object is an open cluster of 400 stars located 7000 light years away in the constellation of Cassiopeia. Given that this has been identified as a young open cluster, it is surprising to me that the stars appear more orange than blue, including 2 red supergiant stars to the lower left. The cluster is supposedly located in front of a molecular cloud with the effect of blocking background stars from the visual image of the cluster, but it is hard for me to see that. A number of double stars are seen in the cluster.
