Description

Though I had over 16 hours of imaging time spent IC2177 - I was disappointed on the lack of nebulosity in the wings. I know there is a lot more there. Back to the drawing board. I plan to add to this data set with 20, 10 minute exposures in Ha. If that doesn't do it.....I will just blame it on "Seeing" and "transparency" which were both rated as poor (but the skies were very clear). Regardless - the fun in this hobby (to me) is in the experimenting and learning!

I processed the stars in LRGB taking 30 second exposures for each and then blending them in (last step) in photoshop - I removed the stars in the Nebula before the blend. I don't know of another way to image in NB and get color in the stars....but then I am in the early learning phases of this hobby.
