Description

Sharpless 2-264 is a large molecular cloud in the 'head' of Orion. It is sometimes called the Angelfish Nebula. This image shows a small detail of the nebula.

This is data from the Deep Sky West remote imaging facility in New Mexico. Data were collected over a number of nights between 24 November 2017 and 4 February 2018.

Ha: 16 x 1800s

Lum: 17 x 900s

Red: 18 x 900s

Green: 14 x 900s

Blue: 18 x 900s

A total of 24.8 hours of exposure.
