Description

Saturn is extremely difficult for those of us in the northern hemisphere these days. There are some great images coming out of Australia, but they have it really good for the next many years for Saturn. This was the only image of my session that was even interesting, and I find it fascinating, as it reveals the polar hexagon structure, as well as the hexagon outline structure just outside of it, that is slightly out of phase to the hexagon structure itself. I'm not aware of any images this apparition from the northern hemisphere with less that a 14" scope that reveals this structure. It's all the more gratifying, as I was fighting dew the entire night.
