Description

First attempt at Orion Nebula with the alt-az celestron cpc800 telescope. The night was good, decent seeing, a lot of low scattered clouds and a bit of wind. Images taken from the Heaton Park Astronomy Club site in north Manchester (Bortle scale of light pollution 6/7). I have collected 120 frames (30s) but at the end I've kept only 80 of them. Some were photobombed by the low clouds some were shaky or with star trails from the wind I guess. These are the data: 80x30s light frames (800 ISO); 15 dark frames, 30 flats (1/25 @ 100 ISO in front of a white lcd tv).

Description: In this revision, unlike the others that were stacked with Sequator, I have processed the subs with DSS. I think I managed to pull out more the diffuse nebulosity around the core of the nebula and overall I like this version better, I has more balanced colours!
