Description

Messier 34 (M34 or NGC 1039) is a 400 +/- member open cluster found in the constellation Perseus. It lies about 1,500 light-years from Earth and has an apparent magnitude of 5.5.

Tech Specs: Sky-Watcher Esprit 120mm ED Triplet APO Refractor, Celestron CGEM-DX mount, Canon 6D stock camera, 13 minutes total integration time with mixed exposure at ISO 3200, Image Date: February 6, 2018. Location: The Dark Side Observatory in Weatherly, PA.
