Description

The construction of a pier and roll-away shed is in progress, but close enough to allow a quick test. Last night the skies cleared for a couple of hours and I collected the data for this image. Wow, the steel pier was rock solid and so much easier to use than a tripod. We should complete the pier and shed project in a couple of days. I'll post pictures of my new toy box.

B

Added another couple hours of light subs to enhance the detail and contrast

C

Cropped and tweaked.

D

My processing skills have improved, so I re-processed these M42 data to preserve more dust and detail, recover the blown out core, and reduce the star bloat.

E

Tweaking the sharpness to reveal detail without loosing the faint dust

F

Reprocessed to improve resolution and colors

G

Cleaned up noise in the dusty areas of the perimeter.
