Description

The version of M101 is comprised of 88 600 seconds subs, L20, R18, G23, B27. Total of 14.6 hours.

I tested including more luminance vs less luminance using PI sub-frame selector. My quandary was whether to include 3 subs that were sharp but noisy and 4 subs with great SN ratios but less sharp than average. In the end throwing out all seven produced both a better FWHM and SN ratio so that was easy! After that I tested adding the color data for a Super Luminance and again the SN ratio and FWHM both improved. So this is using the super-luminance.

Calibration was done in CCDStack, Registration, integration, and color balance in PI, Sharpening, saturation and noise reduction in PS.
