Description

Caldwell 49 or the Rosette Nebula is located about 5.000 light-years away from earth in the Monoceros constellation. Image taken with my new ASI 1600 MM Pro, Explore Scientific 127/952@666mm fcd-100 apo & Baader narrowband filters.

Exposure: 256x90s halpha @ gain200/offset50/temp-20°C (the color data comes from an older shot: ~12x600s SII/OIII each)
