Description

After seeing Detlef Hartman's amazing timelapse of the pulsar winds inside the crab, I wanted to try and capture those winds in a still shot. I had never noticed these lanes in the crab before - I think because maxing out the Ha tends to hide them. I found I could see them by adding Ha judiciously which enhanced the outer red areas without covering the wind lanes represented in the luminance.

All of this gives me even more respect for what Detlef did over 10 years! Just wow!

I will add OIII when the skies clear to bring out the blue "aorta" structure on the left that seems to vent gasses.

151 subs were used, 10 minute for LRGB and 15 minute for Ha. Total of 26.9 hours.
