Description

While my surprisingly defective 127is goes back to the manufacturer for warranty repair I've dropped back to a my trusty Televue 85mm refractor. Half unguided/Half guided. Eventually I let TheSky auto-guide because the MS Spectre/Meltdown patch has still knocked out ASCOM. Without Sequence Generator running the dithering and Focus Boss running focus, more hands on than I would like. But I guess my sad and expensive affliction needs a scratch and tonight was clear(ish).
This is one of the most amazing objects in the entire sky and I love the way OIII knocks out most of the stars and fills the frame with soft textures and depth.
