Description

Cederblad 122 is a mag 10 nebula in Centaurus located below the Coal Sack in the Southern Cross. Approximately 130 thousand light years from our solar system, it has a physical diameter of 18566 LYs.

The image consists of: 15x300s Ha subs, 15x300s Oiii subs, and 15x300s Sii subs. Camera is the ASI1600MM-C, through a TS80 APO reduced to f5.5. Mount is the CGX. Processed in DSS and Photoshop CC. Ha was also used as a reduced opacity luminance layer to improve contrast.
