Description

I really like the large spiral galaxies with their beautiful symmetric arms. However, now that galaxy season has started, I thought I would try something different. This galaxy looks great in a Hubble APOD and someone made it look pretty good with their C14. With my AT8RC this train wreck galaxy isn't quite up to that standard.

This irregular galaxy is similar to our satellite galaxy - the large Magellanic Cloud. However, its not as large or as bright. Its also a starburst galaxy and I was fortunate to pick up a lot of the pinkish glow, the sign of massive star forming regions.
