Description

Two "open" clusters. NGC 2158, 5X further away, actually looks a bit globular. M35 is quite irregular, members occupy most all of the frame. This target looks different at different FOVs, this is about as small as I'd want to go.

Normally I use MorphologicalTransformation to reduce star size, and tone down "too many" background stars. In this case I just didn't stretch it hard. That, and using the arcsinh stretch got me good star color, you can see some variations in the usual blue and orange. the price one pays is a less vibrant image.

RGB were 14,18,18X60, flats were 20X3.

Description: Decided the first was just too saturated, too lacking in background stars (which also cut out some of NGC 2158). Replaced the arcsinh stretch with manual histogram stretch. A bit of sharpening.

As always, a lot of fairly subjective decisions.
