Description

This particular comet McNaught (2009 K5) was imaged in Cepheus as a beautiful 9th magnitude object sporting a fine green coma and a short stubby dust tail. The ion tail is extremely faint and pointing directly upwards in this image though you will require viewing the inverted B&W image to see any sign of it.

The brightest star is HIP 105490 which is about 1.5 degrees from Alfirk (beta Cephei)
