Description

Virgo A (Messier 87) with relativistic jet

Main target of this photo was to register relativistic jet from the supermassive black hole in M87 galaxy.

Galaxy is in the distance around 53 millions light years and jet itself has around 2000 light yers lenght.

It has emissions in visible light band so we can register using RGB filters and proper cameras.

With good seeing condition we can observe some detail of it.

Scale of this photo is a little insane - 0,41''/pix and 0,2''/pix with for the close-ip in top left corner.

Exposition and setup:

L - 200 x 2,5s

RGB - 100 x 3,5s per channel

LRGB

Newton 250/1250 on NEQ-6 + ASI 178MM-C + Baader LRGB
