Description

This is my first completed image using widefield rig. I reaaaaaally enjoy this lens, even though I still need to fix some issues like tilt (better nikon->canon adapter is on the way), and get autofocuser parts to build autofocus for it, because focusing using bahtinov mask every time with this fast lens is just royal PITA.

So I'm using this Gerd Neumann filter drawer (https://api.arturas.space/Images/IMG_20180223_191142.jpg) with 1.25" filter drawers and EOS adapter on one side, instead of e.g. Geoptik adapter, because this gives me possibility to easily swap filters, while with Geoptik adapter i'd have to remove lens to change filter

This is how lens connected to filter drawer and ccd looks like- https://api.arturas.space/Images/IMG_20180301_194507.jpg

And this is how rig looks like when everything is connected- https://api.arturas.space/Images/IMG_20180313_210911.jpg

And in action- https://api.arturas.space/Images/image(193).png

I could have framed this M42 much better, included the horsehead, but eh, I like it being the way it is, maybe I will re-visit this area next year with proper amount of integration But in Ha frames I have horsehead poking his head in the corner of the frame (https://api.arturas.space/Images/image(212).png)
