Description

My first attempt with the new ASI1600MM. I had only 90 minutes of clear skies (and a nearly full Moon), but it was long enough to grab some Ha and OIII light subs and get a feel for the camera. The verdict: it is too cool. I can hardly wait for a few days of good weather so I can use the camera on a real project. (BTW, sorry for the stretched star in the corners. Need to purchase additional M48 spacers to achieve the proper distance between the focal reducer/field flattener and the sensor of the new camera).
