Description

Sh2-224 is a super nova remnant in Auriga. The object is very dim, barely visible in a dense star field when viewed in RGB visible light. When enhanced with Ha and OIII, the structure comes out.

We have Sulfur data for this image too but not used here. When adding a third narrow band channel to this object, the colors turn an unpleasant looking mix of brown and green and purple. The Sulfur and Oxygen data look similar, reinforcing the Ha structure.
