The Veil nebula obtained last winter sometime is interesting in that it was created by a supernova around the time of the Egyption empire. Did they see the supernova? Maybe.

Its fairly close to us at about 1500 light years away.

The image is about 24 hours of open camera time obtained over a month or so.
