Description

Rosette nebula is a huge cloude of interstellar material. The cloud is shaped by the young stars of open cluster NGC 2244. The stellar wind of these hot blue giant stars blow the dust and gas out from the center forming it to a rose shaped huge cloude. Rosette nebula is one of thoes objects wich name doesn't need explanation. Even it's color is similar to a rose, because - as most of these type of object - it's mainly made up of hydrogen. The stars' strong ultraviolet radiation makes hydrogen glow in red light. Other elements present there as well, like oxygen or sulfur, They emitt light in different wavelength so their colors add up to hydrogen's red. They together paint this beautiful rose up onto the sky.
