Description

NGC 4725 (center) is a supergiant barred spiral galaxy with a nice prominent ring structure. It is located about 40 million light years away in the constellation Coma Berenices. Its "neighbour" NGC 4747 (left) suffers from a severe tidal distortion causd by NGC 4725. NGC 4712 (upper right) is about 200 million light years from us.
