Description

With an 81% illuminated moon out, I guess I was pushing my luck with taking this object - but then I was not after faint nebulosity, so the affect of the moon was less concerning. I partly imaged last night because I wanted to check the guiding. I have had the Declination graph's line shooting off at weird angles, right off the screen, in PHD, for no apparent reason - so I tightened up the axes because there was some play in them. But then there have been quite gusty winds recently, so maybe it is all to do with that - I really do not know. The scope acts like a bit of a sail in relative winds.

Up close the stars are still not as round as they were the other week and I threw away quite a few subs - either because of cloud cover or because the stars were too misshapen. I am a little stuck at the moment. We will have to see...

I took 25 subs at 4 minutes long each, using my 8" reflector and modified DSLR. I am quite pleased with it...
