Comet C/2016 R2 (PANSTARRS) reach these days a perihelion quite away from the Sun (to 2.6 AU). By the other way is everytime more away from Earth and we have to add a lost of activity since last months; all this makes its appearance has being wane as can be see in this image taken on May 4th 2018, the Force is not with comet and shows its blue tail faint with only 10 arcminutes lenght.
