Description

Good Evening Everyone! I know its been awhile, and I'd like to report that my spinal surgeries have gone well. Today I am uploading a new image I recently took. The object in this image (the dot in the red circle) is called TON 618. Its what is known as a Quasar, and happens to be the single most massive black hole and single most massive object in the universe. On top of being the most massive object in the entire known universe, this supermassive black hole is consuming matter, and because of the hot gasses falling in towards it's event horizon, this super massive black hole also happens to be one of if not the single brightest object in the known universe. Not to fear, this monster is a whopping 10.4 billion light years away, placing it towards the edge of the observable universe. This super-massive black hole weighs in at over 66 billion times the mass of our sun, and outshines entire galaxies that are much closer to us than it. This is probably the single most extreme object in the entire universe, and I hope you enjoy my image. As always, Clear Skies!
