This is a scene in Dorado with lots of galaxies. It is centered at J2000 06h 21m 37.4157s, -64d 55m 43.065s - which is near NGC2229 and NGC 2235 - but it is somewhat away from the main "Dorado group" at about -56 Dec.

I chose it using TheSkyX and looking for a nice patch of galaxies that fit my field of view.

I imaged with Sloan color filters i' r' g' but there are color gradients due to light pollution - so this is a gray scale image from summing the three channels. The only processing is to apply levels to the gray scale image - and no cropping. It's just a raw image captured of a scene with many, many galaxies strewn about.

This was imaged over many nights with 52 x r', 51 x g', 97 x i' at 5m exposures - for a total of 16.7 hours exposure.

Explore the scene at full resolution and see all the tiny, faint galaxies. There has been no deconvolution or anything - so you can tell the difference between faint stars and faint galaxies easily.
