Description

NGC 4567 and NGC 4568 are a pair of unbarred spiral galaxies about 60 million light-years from Earth, in the constellation Virgo. They are colliding and merging with each other and are also known as the Butterfly Galaxies.

Following an enforced break from imaging due to the awful UK weather, this image was produced from 14 x 300s luminance and 5 x 300s each RGB subs, over the past two nights.
