Description

This image depicts the region around the magnificient globular cluster Omega Centauri - a beauty in binoculars and low-power eyepiece, more splendid in long exposure images, and even visible to the naked eye easily as a fuzzy "star". Furthermore, the field is enriched by the galaxy Centaurus A, in the right hand side of this image. The field also contains several background faint galaxies, visible as tiny discs or fuzzy stars.

This 2016 image was just reprocessed with newly acquired skills, and much better pre-processing software. With the aid of AstroPixelProcessor, the final result is vastly sharper in my opinion, and just overall better. For comparison, the original is here: https://astrob.in/256726/C/
