Description

While the sun takes 27 days to rotate on its axis and 24 days near its equator, I was hopeful that maybe I could capture just a tiny bit of that rotation across a 3 hour period.

I was waiting for a sunspot to finally show up before I attempted it - it would serve as a good marker for movement. During the 3 hours of imaging, I captured 330 short videos and stacked them into 330 frames. To keep the file size down, I only used 41 frame across that time span.

I could have sharpened the frames more, but it would have caused the texture to flicker more noticeably. Putting more frames back in the animation would smooth out the flickering, but also increase the file size.

I decided to go with a color version this time and now I think I like the color version better.
