Description

Not an object I have ever attempted before as I know it’s a very small target for my telescope / camera combination. However I found myself not being able to image my current objects as there was a band of cloud just where I wanted to point my telescope and the cloud was not moving. So not having other targets lined up I had a quick look at Starry Night and M57 was in a good position, so I thought I would have a go.

Well, to my surprise with a test shot I could see quite a bit of detail and together with some rather good seeing (very rare for me) I stuck with it and very glad I did.

You can see just how small the nebula is in my full field image!
