Description

The Blue Horse Head Nebula also known as IC4592, is a reflection nebula located 400 light years from earth. Located in the constellation Scorpius it spans 40 light years across.

So I'm not sure what to make out of the image. I know I didn't get the whole thing that's for sure. Secondly although you can see the "blue misty" area of the horse head, I think I needed to get a wider view and obviously more exposure. Also another factor is that I imaged this object fairly low on the horizon where there's too much turbulence and light pollution. It was about 23 degrees above the horizon when I started and topped up at about 26 degrees. Furthermore I believe that OIII narrow band imaging on this would have done it justice. Either way enjoy my first attempt of the blue horse head.
