Description

This object is a star asterism in the constellation of Cygnus at a declination of +47 degrees. This asterism is identified in the Secret Deep list of deep sky objects by Stephen James O'Meara.

I don't believe it is a star cluster simply because I cannot find it referenced in any atlas. Like all asterisms, It is simply a pretty collection of stars. I think of it as the Kite Asterism, because to me it looks like a kite being flown, wind coming from the right, with the kite string coming down slightly to the right.

In addition to the asterism, this part of the sky looks interesting because of the many small colorful star patterns in the background. I see many arcs and geometric shapes outlined by the stars. Or perhaps my imagination is just more active than normal as I write this.
