Description

I complete my collection of objects in the beautiful Carina region.

NGC 3114 is an open cluster rather sparse and with extensions difficult to separate from the star bottom of the Milky Way.

Because of this contamination, its size is ambiguous but the studies are refined.

The last major study, conducted by Sagar and Sharpless, in 1991, gives about 350 stars, some of which are very far from the center of the cluster.
