Description

Today I read about the Rosetta image archive by ESA. They have published a complete dataset of the whole mission. Just curious, I found a nice image of Mars during the swing-by maneuver in February 2007, shot by the NAVCAM module at reduced aperture (30mm) plus attenuation filter. The only thing I improved was to sharpen it a little bit. The image sensor is a frame transfer type CCD, so all images show a more or less prominent smear effect. But here I was able to suppress it successfully.

If you're interested in some details of the camera, please have a look here: NAVCAM description
