Description

During 2016's years Perseids I went to my usual dark site. About 3 in the morning I got up trying to capture some meteors. With just a simple, barely aligned and unbalanced EQ3-2, I pointed to the Southern region, where the naked-eye galaxies, Large and Small Magellanic Clouds were. I was looking forward to capturing some meteors in the photogenic composition. After ~20 images, however, I moved on to another area of the sky and with a wider lens, and, after all, no meteors were captured. Nevertheless, the resulting image could become a quick set on these objects, and here it is.

This image is a reprocessed version of https://astrob.in/353312/0/ To me the improvement was noticiable - especially in gradient and color control. What do you think?

Pre-processed and linear gradient removal/correction in AstroPixelProcessor. Post-processed in Photoshop. I will probably try to shoot this same field with longer integration time this Spring, a nice season for these objects.
