Description

Done with cooled flats this time and the difference is apparent in the background when compared with M3 effort. Was able to work with the background more and no striations from bias present. Focusing challenges were biggest issue (lum). Interchanged ES and Hotech field flattener with no difference in star roundness. Confirmed that 19000 to 22000 mean background is an extremely reliable number for achieving good flats. Refractor needs to be checked for collimation. RGB subs were pretty tight focus. Given brightness of this target imaged at f7, maybe could have gone with slightly shorter subs. Fairly pleased with effort. Learned about pixel math dark pixel corrections formula, sharpening with extracted layers/binarizing/MLT.
