Description

Messier 99 (M99, NGC 4254) is a magnitude 10.4 unbarred spiral galaxy in the constellation of Coma Berenices, and is located at a distance of about 56 Million light years. It is a member of the Virgo Cluster of galaxies, and has an apparent size of 5.4 x 4.7 arc minutes.

Exposure: LRGB (unbinned): L:40x10 R:12x10 min, G:13x10 min, B:12x10 min Total 12.8 hrs

Processing: Image acquisition using CCD Autopilot. Initial processing was done using Maxim DL with subsequent processing with Photoshop.
