Object description:
Sharpless 132 is a faint emission nebula located at the Cepheus/Lacerta border in the Perseus arm of our Galaxy, at a distance of around 10,000 to 12,000 light years. Sh2-132 lies in the field of the Cepheus OB1 association and is ionized by two WR stars (WR 152 and WR 153) and OB stars in several embedded clusters. The nebula extends 42 x 30 arc minutes ( c. 250 light years).
