Description

Kepler is a 2.75 km (1.7 mile) deep impact crater in the west of the Moon (N8 W38), having a diameter of 32 km (19 miles). It lies at the eastern edge of Oceanus Procellarum and is particularly notable for it's bright ray system which extends in excess of 300 km (200 miles) over the surrounding mare.
