Other than M42 I've not tried this type of object before. Was very pleased at how much color came through even in the subs - I had assumed these nebulae were very faint.

Bad news is that I stupidly forgot to plug in the laptop - it shut down after 74 subs! Would really like a few hours worth. Will try again tonight and post that image for comparison.

Also, there are strange artifacts in the image which appear correlated as opposed to random, e.g. dark parallel bands near the bottom of the image near center. I have no idea where these are coming from.
