Description

Rich galaxy cluster Abell 2255. Pretty amazing galaxy-scape. This galaxy cluster seems to have many bright-blue members that appear to be undergoing intense star formation. This gives the cluster a much more colorful appearance than other galaxy clusters that are typically more dominated by ellipticals.

Just noticed that Astrobin usefully did not label any of the galaxies in the cluster. The brightest and biggest elliptical at the center of the cluster is PGC 59831.
