Description

Astro-Physics 155 EDF4 f/7 refractor

This telescope is one of my pride and joy instruments. I have used it both visually and astrographically, and it excels at both. It can be used at both its native focal ratio and at f/5.4, when combined with the 155TCC telecompressor. This telescope has the 4 inch focuser. It is located at my home observatory in Idaho.

This image shows the observatory setup that I shared with famed narrowband imager John Gleason at Riverland Dingo Observatory in South Australia. We shared the observatory and computer. The AP155 and FLI Proline camera were my contributions to the partnership. The Paramount was John's. It was a very productive partnership in that both of us had ample scope use time. I learned a lot about remote imaging - both the joys and the headaches. This observatory was in operation from Feb 2008 to October 2010.
