Description

Here is the last object I publish from the Crux constellation, before the final poster. Not to be confused with the name of the previously published image!

I swung the image 90 ° to the left to see the symbol of the Euro.

NGC 4439 is an open star cluster of little known and studied, and also very little imaged.

Identified for the first time by James Dunlop in 1826, this cluster is distant from Earth by about 5820 light-years. It is relatively young with an estimated age of 80 million years.
