Description

Despite high clouds that made Propus hard to see, I found the Jellyfish Nebula easily tonight by sighting the Telrad on Propus. I'm trying 300 s subframes; perhaps I should have gone longer. Once again got a late start due to competing activities tonight. It's a warmer evening, and the CCD is at 14 °C. This is a difficult object for me because it is relatively dim and Propus is bright. I threw out a lot of subframes where clouds brightened the background and wrecked the contrast. Given the less-than-optimal conditions, I’m reasonably happy with the overall result.
