Description

My first light with the ASI294MC Pro. Well it was my third light but the first two where unusable due to internal reflections of my UHC. I learned that the Omegon Pro UHC is maybe not suitable for photographic purposes.

Nevertheless, i am not satisfied with this picture. I lost a lot of color information somewhere in the process. The stars in reality dont have all the same color, and the nebula himself looks a bit weird. I think i need a lot of practice with the new camera. Also i lost a lot of dynamic range compared to my ASI178MC. Wonder where this comes from? First thing i will do is change from native to ASCOM in SharpCap.

[Edit]: It turns out that i used a wrong offset (known as brightness in SharpCap) for the camera and the gain setting. This could be the reason for the low dynamic range. And i think that the subs with 15 seconds are too short - well, maybe. A lot to try...

[Edit2]: Reading out the parameters that ZWO implemented in their ASCOM-Drivers unity gain is at 120 with an offset of 30.
