Description

In my constant search for different and interesting objects, I stumbled upon IC2177, the Seagull Nebula, while scanning some all sky images for something that caught my eye. A few clear nights gave up 17.3 hours of narrowband data that I compiled into a Hubble Palette image.

IC 2177 is a region of nebulosity that lies along the border between the constellations Monoceros and Canis Major. It is a roughly circular H II region centered on the Be star HD 53367.

As always, comments and critiques are more than welcome.
