Description

This small slice of the moon features the fascinating linar rilles Rima Hyginus and Rima Ariadaeus.

Rima Ariadaeus (to the East) is over 300km long and is believed to have been formed with a depression of the surface between two fault lines. Its interesting features include the overlay of craters, indicating that this rille is likely very young.

Rima Hyginus (to the West) is likewise believed to have been formed between fault lines. Here we see a very unique feature with "collapse craters" scattered through it's Western run.
