Description

I was able to capture the constellation Musca before it disappears for the season behind my trees. But perhaps I could finish this constellation by adding two very small clusters open to the gallery, weather permitting.

I centered Musca and its brightest star is also centered on the image, it is Alpha Muscae shining with the brightness of 20 000 Sun for a diameter which is four times higher.

Musca is close to Coalsack and the Southern Cross, whose main star is Alpha Crucis (Acrux), the blue giant shining brightly. At the border, the two clusters NGC 4815 et 4463 belong to Musca.

The globular cluster NGC 4372, at the end of the molecular cloud "Dark Doodad Nebula", has been published here https://astrob.in/359929/0/
