Description

I didn't intend to give this any more than 10 hours - I actually have no idea how I managed to dump so much time into an object like this. I was looking for a new target to do while waiting for another to rise when Pat Rodgers posted his rendition. It looked so interesting and I was getting ready to take down my RC and switch it out for the Newtonian, so I decided to take advantage of my higher focal length and give it a go.

Man is it small! The Dutch Wikipedia page gives it an apparent size of 0.75 arcminutes, which converts to 45 arcseconds, making it a little smaller than Jupiter at opposition and by far the smallest DSO I've ever captured. This would be a good candidate for lucky imaging with a Barlow and planetary camera.
